PAX South 2017 (The League Meetup Thread) - Vaygrim - 10-12-2016

PAX SOUTH 2017
JAN 27-29, 2017
SAN ANTONIO, TX
OFFICIAL WEBSITE: http://south.paxsite.com/
PAX South 2017 is fast approaching, and it's about time that the community starts coordinating details between all of us that intend to go.

We are laying the groundwork for a meetup of all members of The League of Ordinary Gamers who are planning to attend PAX South 2017. At present this is something we are trying to informally plan, so we do not have to book reservations for some restaurant space, which will end up costing all that attend a small attendance fee.

We are still evaluating locations, keep your eyes focused on THIS thread for further updates and details, as they happen!

One suggestion that has been made a few times is to make use of the Dave & Buster's that is across the street from the convention center. It will require all members to be (I believe) 16+ or have an accompanying adult... but considering we require members of the League to be at or above this age as well, I think it would work out fine.

Dave & Buster's (Rivercenter): http://www.daveandbusters.com/location-content/locations/tx-san-antonio-rivercenter/

It's not exactly cheap if you're going there to game, but they've got tons of tables, lots of space, and a good selection of food that isn't TOO expensive.

So, do we have to me "mentally" over the age of 16, or just physically?  Asking for a friend....

Only heard about D&B recently when my wife wanted to go for our anniversary this past July. I enjoyed my time there and it does seem to be the kind of place that will have enough room for such a thing.
